What inspires your soft sculpture?
Well. The Stick People, which I love to make, are inspired first and foremost from the sticks that I find on our Yukon lakeshores. There are many big lakes up here, each one unique in how it pounds and polishes driftwood. Then I let them evolve. I am often surprised and sometimes wonder at who they are. The animals are from my front yard, and many of them have been long time friends of mine. Not everyone is always nice, and that goes for these creatures as well. We all live with our shadows…
