Teslin Lake Stick People

From Yukon Lakeshores, I have gathered driftwood that I combine with cottons, linens, wool, hemp. All of the materials are found, and many of them are from my favorite pieces of clothing that have fallen apart. The arms and legs are chosen first, and that starts the evolution of the stick person. They let me know who they are and I rarely know this when I start. Each lake has its own style of driftwood, depending on the winds, the forests, the geological make up of the stones and beaches. Making these sculptures is an intriguing process for me; calming through steady and slow hand stitching then a decided click, when I get it right! I sincerely hope you enjoy them as much as I do.

Next exhibit is on the way! First the gardens have to get sorted, then the lambs butchered, but Roman Glass Jewelry is on the Way! Hopefully soon! Thanks for your patience with a lifestyle where food comes first, where season decide the days work for me. Shiela

then check the Edge Gallery, to see what is still available.
